AVANT has announced public availability of its AVANT 6-12 Report on UCaaS; an extensive market research report encompassing data gathered through our day-to-day business, public facing market research from prominent outside organizations, and feedback from technology partners and Trusted Advisors.
The document serves as the third installment of an ongoing series of reports by AVANT Research and Analytics, and can be downloaded at www.staging.goavant.co.uk/ucaas-report. Previous reports focused on SD-WAN and IT Security.
In addition to market research numbers, the UCaaS report focuses on a variety of related issues and concerns such as:
- Why customers are looking at UCaaS
- Where they stand in the evaluation process
- Allied services that customers are seeking
- UCaaS Penetration by vertical
- UCaaS Penetration by Revenue band
- Growth rates by vertical
- Horizon for moving to UCaaS by Vertical
- Reasons companies delay
The consensus of the analyst community points to rapid growth in the UCaaS space with a market of approximately $25 billion expanding to a projected $36 billion by 2026, according to some estimates.
While the “go decision” is often driven by the end of legacy telecom contracts and a desire for more diverse communications options, it’s also interesting to note that interest in UCaaS spiked 86% in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to AVANT’s own data (see chart above).
Furthermore, UCaaS growth tends to be evenly dispersed among verticals, with penetration generally in the 70% range.
The report also focuses on a variety of choices and challenges, including network infrastructure needs, key factors in cost projections, applications/integrations, end user preferences, and similar matters.
